THAMES BOWLS CLUB AT FONDU SPORTS CLUB HAS HAD ITS BOWLING GREEN LEVELLED AND NEW BANK AND DITCH UNITS FITTED

Thames Bowls Club in Thurrock was suffering from not only very poor illegal ditches and banks, but also had a serious slope across the green. This is bread and butter to Sportsmark, who they called in to deal with these issues. Firstly, we had to level the green, which required raising the height to about 40% of the green. Then we installed Sportsmark ‘County’ concrete ditch units to the new levels. This also required re-laying several paths. We then covered the face of the banks with our hard wearing impact absorbing “Ditch Face Curl “artificial grass, wrapping the artificial over the top of the banks, Finally we installed Hedgehog III liners for the bottom of the ditch and our bowling green access steps to make access safe and easy.
