Leading laser cutting firm celebrates thanks to £700k record month

SSC Laser, one of the UK’s leading laser cutting companies, are celebrating an exceptional second quarter after achieving a record £700,000 turnover in April despite the harshness of the economic climate. Much of SSC Laser’s exemplary performance has been attributed to the remarkable accomplishments of their recently established division in Aztec West, Bristol. The new site is already exceeding its targets and proving to have been a wise move by the company. Andy Evans, Sales Director for SSC Laser, comments, “The Bristol site has evidently benefited greatly from the two employees Ben Cliss and Rob Keir who have headed up the division. It has offered a really impressive service to companies who buy our laser engineered components, including flat laser profiles, folded laser profiles and tube laser components. The new Bristol site is not alone in its strong performance though, as all of our divisions are doing very well with another particularly noteworthy performance from our Scotland site.” With divisions already in Stafford, Derby, Sunderland, Slough, Motherwell and Bristol, SSC Laser have their sights firmly set on expanding into another manufacturing site within the next 6-7 months. Andy Evans adds, “We have plans for this facility to follow the same trajectory of growth as the previous facilities have, expanding from an initial 2-3 person sales office up to a 10 person production facility.” Since its establishment in 2000, the firm has grown substantially to be one of the largest sub contract laser profiling companies in the UK whilst maintaining its headquarters in Hixon, Staffordshire. With an unquestionable confidence in UK manufacturing, SSC Laser have endeavoured to consistently maintain a high standard of work and strong customer relations. Such sound principles have enabled the company to grow at a rapid rate, expanding from one site in 2007 to six by 2012.
