The Norex Explosion Isolation valve is an ATEX non-return valve certified as an explosion isolation device according to Directive 94/9/EC . This system also complies with EN15089 Explosion Isolation Systems Standard. It is a fully autonomous working valve and is to be mounted horizontally at a certain distance from the containment system to be protected (usually filters). The damper blade is floating during normal working circumstances and is thus held open by the airflow . When the process is stopped the damper blade falls under the influence of its own weight and the valve is closed . If an explosion occurs behind the valve during the process, the air flow is immediately reversed by the increase in pressure. Propagation of the explosion to the rest of the installation is in that case very effectively prevented by the Norex valve. The blade is locked in a closed position. Release is made possible by a manual action on the outside of the valve .An inspection hatch on top of the valve allows a quick and easy inspection of the valve, control of accumulation of dust on critical points and control of the seal. Advantages No passage of flames possible. Available in diameter DN160 until tot DN1000. Automatic locking system of the damper blade in case of an explosion. Easy to maintain.
