West Midlands based Total Process Cooling Ltd are extremely pleased to be associated with Leicester University's Space Research Centre in the development and supply of package air cooled water chillers for their new generation ground based Gamma Ray Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) which is developed to detect very high-energy gamma rays.
The Leicester team have been responsible for the mechanical, thermal, fluidic, environmental, optical and various electronic elements of the camera, with valuable contributions from the Physics departments of Oxford, Liverpool and Durham Universities, as well as several other consortium members from around the world.
The telescopes will be located on the west coast of Africa in Namibia.
