Anti-glare window film is by nature a darkening product, so is more suited to the commercial environment. It is available in a variety of finishes, either highly reflective to provide extra solar control and one-way privacy, or non-reflective for an unobtrusive appearance. Anti-glare blinds (or one-way blinds) provide a similar function, but can be retracted on a dull day. Sunscreen (perforated) fabrics block a substantial portion of the light, and the light that penetrates the fabric's weave is scattered/diffused. The darker the fabric colour, the better the glare reduction and outward visibility will be. Solar shade materials are also available (like solar window film but without the adhesive), which give an even clearer view, and additional heat reflection.
