Talisman Plastics begin 2022 by Strengthening The Workforce With 6 New Employees
Talisman Plastics are delighted to be welcoming 6 new faces across the business, this comes as part of our 2022 expansion plans which includes an increase of both staff and machinery. Our first new appointment is Spencer Whale who has joined Talisman as Technical Sales Manager. Spencer brings with him, Sales experience, and a Technical Engineering background. We are very excited by Spencer’s plans and ideas for the future. What did you do in your previous role? “Sales of bespoke automated machinery and lines to various markets” What are your hobbies and interest? “I coach an U10’s football team in my home town. I also enjoy Formula 1 and travelling.” What is your favourite food? “Italian – Pizza!” What is your favourite fact? “I like animal facts… Octopuses have 3 hearts” Secondly, meet Amelia who is joining our Operations team, as QEHS Systems Engineer. Along with other duties, Amelia will play an integral role within Talisman as we work towards new accreditations such as ISO 14001. What did you do in your previous role? “I worked as an ‘Improvement Business Partner’ at Horiba Mira where I helped to support the Quality Leads, Health & Safety and Attribute teams with all things improvement within automotive development and testing.” What are your hobbies and interest? “I Enjoy figure skating and singing. I have been in a few rock cover band but now I’m focusing on my own solo album and 50s & 60s gigs!” What is your favourite food? “I couldn’t possibly choose… anything edible!” What is your favourite fact? “Moons can have moons, these are called ‘Moonmoons!” Allow us to Introduce Simon Farrell-Adams. Simon will join our Technical Team as a Project Engineer. His role will cover Supporting Production, Modifications, and New Project Introduction. He has a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and brings with him many years of experience from the injection moulding world, we look forward to him adding his expertise to our already knowledgeable Team. What did you do in your previous role? “Design Engineer, previously NPI” What are your hobbies and interest? “I’ve played guitar since I was 9, I like cars, reading and dogs!” What is your favourite food? “Pizza.” What is your favourite fact? “Australia is wider than the moon.” Meet Ronnie. She is joining us as Planning & Purchasing Apprentice and will be working closely with our Production Manager, Ewelina. We look forward to supporting Ronnie in her career development and watching her grow to become an integral part of the department. What did you do in your previous role? “Healthcare Assistant” What are your hobbies/Interests? “Kickboxing, Aerial Hoop, Cooking and Baking” “What is your favourite food?” “Enchiladas or Pierogi (Polish dumplings)!” What is your favourite fact? “Chocolate used to be the currency in ancient Mexico and South America” We would like to Introduce Kevin, who joins our incredibly busy Production Team. Kevin’s extensive knowledge as a Tool Setter will allow Talisman to manage our growth and increase productivity through efficient and effective tool changes. What did you do in your previous role? “Moulding Setter” What are your hobbies/Interests? “Family / Rugby” “What is your favourite food?” “Spag Bol” What is your favourite fact? “It’s impossible to hum whilst holding your nose!” Our final introduction is the hard-working and enthusiastic, Aneta. Aneta joins us as our brand new SCT Operator. She will be supporting our Supply Chain Manager with the task of managing production flow, raw materials all the way through to the delivery of the final product to our customers. What did you do in your previous role? “Retail” What are your hobbies/Interests? “Adventures” “What is your favourite food?” “Pasta” What is your favourite fact? “All polar bears are left handed”
