Stannah, a leading name in the UK lifts sector, has appointed two industry specialists to play a pivotal role in delivering the Network Rail lift and escalator contract.
New Leadership for Network Rail Contract Delivery
Brendan Slevin joins Stannah as Network Rail Department (NRD) Manager, bringing a wealth of experience in the lift and escalator industry. In this role, Brendan will co-ordinate the successful delivery of the Network Rail contract, working closely with Stannah branch managers, including the London Infrastructure Branch (LIB), to ensure smooth project execution.
Brendan’s career includes managing lift maintenance, repairs, refurbishments, and replacements across London Underground and London Overground contracts, making him well-equipped to oversee this complex project.
Daniel Bond takes on the role of London Infrastructure Branch (LIB) Manager, specialising in escalator systems. As the primary operational contact for Network Rail, Daniel will oversee contract delivery and reporting.
In his previous role, Daniel managed the installation of the escalator portfolio for the Elizabeth Line, including the longest escalators in the TfL network, as featured in the BBC documentary, The £15 Billion Railway. He also worked as Service Delivery Manager, overseeing call-outs, repairs, maintenance, refurbishments, and interventions on the London Underground.
As LIB Manager at Stannah, Daniel will provide focused support, ensuring seamless contract execution and maintaining the highest service standards.
Expanding Stannah’s Role in Network Rail Contracts
Following a highly competitive tender process, Network Rail re-awarded Stannah its five-year lift maintenance contract. Additionally, Stannah secured, for the first time, the contract to maintain Network Rail escalators, a major expansion of its portfolio.
Stannah’s inclusion in both the lift and escalator renewal and replacement frameworks allows its Major Projects Division—specialising in complex lift systems and escalators within infrastructure projects—to bid for the replacement of Network Rail’s lift and escalator assets.
Seamless Transition with Industry Expertise
Glynn Jenkins, who has played a crucial role in securing and delivering the Network Rail contract over the past eight years, will continue to provide his expertise. Brendan and Daniel will work alongside Glynn until his well-earned retirement, ensuring a smooth transition.
A Stronger Future for Stannah and Network Rail
Dave Saunders, Head of Infrastructure at Stannah Lifts, commented:
"We are delighted to welcome Brendan and Daniel to the team. Their expertise will strengthen our operations, enhance service delivery, and contribute to the ongoing success of the programme."
