Three Shires first became involved with this project through a recommendation some 15 years ago with works in various forms taking place ever since.
Initially works were upon the wider estate including the planting of 60,000 trees, existing woodland enhancement and the planting of deer lawns and glades.
The latest phase of works relate to the construction of a large new build property that began some 18 months ago which has been recently completed.
Upon completion TSL were asked to undertake various landscaping and planting works including;
Fruit Tree Planting
Mature wall trained fruit trees were planted by Three Shires along some of the south facing walls of the property within a paved area. This required the installation of an irrigation system due to the area in which the trees were planted being paved (and so unable to receive rain water), this also allowed watering by turning a single tap. This watering system was also used to allow the irrigation of mature box topiaries which were also planted within this area.
Deer Management
Deer are an important part of the estate with large areas being managed for them; Three Shires involvement has come in the form of the planting of deer lawns and deer glades to provide areas of high quality grass for foraging with glades being cut through the woodlands to create a more favourable habitat.
