"The London Taxi or the Black Cab’ has the reputation for providing the best taxi service in the world. Their distinctive appearance and long history have made them one of the most recognizable symbols of London. TRB Solution •TRB Lightweight Structures assisted LTI International with the design of the ramp to meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA). •The structure is made up of three parts – the two-part wheelchair ramp which folds back into the taxi to become part of the floor, and the step, which is light and small enough to be stored in the boot of the taxi for easy access. •TRB set up a high-volume production cell to manufacture a total of 20,000 ramps. "
