WITT, renowned for its acetylene applications, is pleased to introduce the ADR 75 dome-loaded pressure regulator, a valuable addition to its product portfolio. This expansion is driven by the rising need for top-tier acetylene pressure regulation solutions.
The ADR 75, a high-performance regulator designed as a primary regulator, boasts exceptional outlet pressure stability while minimising dynamic pressure loss, even when handling flow rates of up to 75 Nm3/h. This regulator proudly bears the Type Approval in compliance with DIN EN ISO 7291:2021-03 No. 9.4.6, accredited by the BAM (Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing). Notably, the ADR 75 aligns seamlessly with the design criteria outlined in the German TRGS 407 Annex 4 Acetylene.
Acetylene continues to be the gas of choice for numerous oxyfuel applications due to its impressive flame temperature. In these applications, the ADR 75 plays a pivotal role in reducing high-pressure acetylene to a more manageable medium pressure. Much like all of WITT's dome-loaded pressure regulators, it offers unmatched pressure consistency, completely impervious to variations in inlet pressure and flow rates. This feature proves indispensable for processes that demand unwavering working pressure.
The ADR 75 maintains the downstream pressure as close as possible to 1.5 barg, a critical requirement for specific heat treatment processes. Additionally, it facilitates the optimal depletion of cylinder bundles, maximising gas extraction from each bundle and reducing the frequency of bundle replacements for gas suppliers.
One standout feature of the new WITT dome pressure regulator is its self-medium control mechanism. By utilizing acetylene gas to supply the pilot pressure regulator, it eliminates the need for a separate gas source.
This regulator excels in precisely regulating inlet pressures of up to 25 barg, allowing adjustable outlet pressures within the 0.5 - 1.5 barg range. A specialised version even permits outlet pressures of up to 2.5 barg. The inclusion of a filter safeguards the regulator against contamination, significantly extending its operational lifespan. The ADR 75 arrives as a fully assembled set, complete with the pilot pressure regulator, inlet and outlet pressure gauges. Alternatively, WITT offers the option of integrating the regulator into a comprehensive pressure regulating station in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14114 standards.
