Supporting Chris Evans’ and Children in Need by protecting Chewton Glen from the ‘Dirty Dozen’
01-02-2016
The grounds of Chewton Glen in Hampshire looked more like a classic car meeting as the world class croquet lawn played host to the display of iconic cars parked upon a pad of 130 EuroMat®s. Among the cars on display were the multi-million pound “magnificent seven” Ferrari collection, including a 250 SWB from 1963, a 1964 Aston Martin DB5 Convertible, a 1964 Daimler SP250 Dart and a 1967 Jaguar XKSS.
The BBC Radio 2 DJ and new Top Gear presenter was master of ceremonies as the line-up of classic Ferraris, Aston Martins and Jaguars were presented at Chewton Glen. With EuroMat delivering protection to the lawn, the lucky drivers, who paid £726,348 to drive with Evans and Children in Need mascot Pudsey, parked up the Dirty Dozen collection for the open day event.
On arrival the cars were positioned for display on a pad layout of Zigma’s man-handleable EuroMat temporary access mats which provided protection to the ground from the cars and the thousands of visitors who came to view the collection.
Zigma’s EuroMat is the market leading man-handleable temporary access and ground protection solution for use on soft or sensitive ground. At just 35kg each, EuroMat features the unique chevron traction® surface for added grip, a variety of connection options and six handholds for ease of handling and deployment. EuroMat is used as pedestrian access and car parking at many major global and UK events, including the 2012 Olympics, the PanAm games, the UK leg of the Tour de France and the Edinburgh Marathon. EuroMat provide an impressive loadbearing of up to 80 tonnes, easily capable of withstanding the weight of Chris Evans’ pride and joy, making them ideal temporary access and ground protection, not just for outdoor events but for the construction, civil engineering and ground work industries.
EuroMat® is manufactured from 100% recycled high density polyethylene(HDPE) and is perfect for both short and long term projects, whilst its strategically positioned hand holes make them easy to off load from trucks or pallets and easy to move around site by two men.
EuroMats are part of an extensive range of temporary access and ground protection solutions supplied by Stansted based Zigma Ground Solutions. Contact us for more info.
