We have experience in Bonding strain gauges using Semiconductor, Foil and Ceramic gauges. Semiconductor gauges are recommended for applications where a part has a low stress level or the user needs to ensure a good factor of safety on standard parts. In these cases the part can be designed to give a good output without reducing its strength.

We recommend Foil strain gauging for applications where a part can be more highly stressed giving the maximum accuracy. Ceramic strain gauges are used for special applications in which the ceramic gauge is specially designed. Pressure Transducers of high accuracy can be made using Unique Ceramic and Stainless Steel diaphragms. We have developed special temperature compensation techniques. On stainless steel diaphragms foil and semiconductor strain gauges can be used dependent on the application. Semiconductor strain gauges give about ten times the output of foil units. Load and Torque transducers usually have to be a stressed component withstanding the full force of the parameter being measured.
