Introduction Welcome to the AERC website. Applied Environmental Research Centre Ltd (AERC) provides environmental, engineering and planning consultancy services. We also undertake research on theoretical understanding, solutions, and innovative developments relevant to the natural environment. AERC and our sister company AppliedES (Applied Environmental Services Ltd) were formed in 1987 by four of our current Directors. The companies now employ over 70 staff based near Colchester. AERC and AppliedES are members of the Applied Environmental Holdings (AEH) Group of companies, and we are totally independent of other public or privately funded bodies. Why choose AERC?
