Carbon Fibre Helmet Case

On this project we had the pleasure of working with VCASO on a world first; a carbon fibre helmet case for racing drivers. We helped VCASO tweak their design, making sure that a range of helmets fit inside and modifying the front of the case to allow for a new locking mechanism. We designed a bespoke ring to add structural strength to the case around the joint of the two halves, along with a bespoke handle. We used additive manufacturing processes to create a prototype, allowing VCASO to be confident in our creation. Once VCASO was satisfied with the design, we produced four tools for each part of the case with a top and bottom mould for the case itself, and single sided tools for the ring and handle.
