Astell Scientific is well known as a leading autoclave manufacturer, however there are a number of other steam sterilization products also produced by the company that compliment this popular range. STEAM GENERATORS In cases where an in-house steam source is unavailable to support an autoclave or decontamination system, Astell can provide a stand-alone steam generator to facilitate the chosen sterilization process. Astell manufacture three models of electric steam generator, each rated at 24kW, 48kW and 72kW. Typically these have the capacity to act as a steam source for autoclaves up to and beyond 600 litres in capacity. Each steam generator features Astell’s own colour touchscreen controller to manage and report working temperatures, pressures and operation status, and can be specified with options such as stainless steel panelwork and pipework if required. View Steam Generators page EFFLUENT DECONTAMINATION SYSTEMS Astell also manufacture the (batch) Effluent Decontamination System (EDS), a large capacity sterilization system suitable for processing waste from high containment facilities or high risk laboratories. Ideal for treating water from sterilizers, sinks, showers and toilets, a typical EDS may contain two or more holding tanks working on a run-standby system. Often mated to an appropriate steam generator to provide a complete stand-alone system, Astell have successfully supplied EDS installations to government and privately owned operators and has the knowledge and expertise to project manage and develop a system to meet your individual requirements.
