A Norfolk based engineering company purchased their very reliable Avelair RS 7.5 air compressor in 1994 and it has been running for 30 years. This week the motor bearings failed and it was time to lay it to rest and the company invested into a new Avelair variable speed air compressor. The VSD air compressor will reduce their running costs as the inverter will ramp the motor speed in response to their compressed air demand. The Norfolk based company also invested into a new refrigerant dryer with filtration to ensure they have clean air and a condensate system to split the oily condensate from the dryer and filters into clean condensate and a small amount of oil. A Written Scheme of Examination will be completed once the new system is installed so that it complies with the Pressure System Safety Regulations 2000.
