Caterplan are proud to be working with Chalk Valley on their new Southampton based artisan burger restaurant.
The restaurant concept is farm-to-table fast food casual dining, and we have been working with them to create a suitable commercial kitchen for the restaurant which will be opening its doors to the public in February 2014.
Discussions on a new kitchen started with the client in May 2013.
We were tasked with designing a kitchen ventilation system that satisfied the local authorities concerns about any possible impact on the local environment. This was critical and would determine whether the client would attain planning permission to go ahead with the project.
Following approval by the local authorities, we installed the kitchen ventilation system in December 2013 ready for the rest of the M&E services to be installed and the interior finishes.
The kitchen equipment has now been installed and completed ready for the restaurant launch later in February.
For this kitchen installation we installed an Adande under broiler refrigerated drawer system which are very energy efficient and provide bulk chilled storage at the point of use in hot and busy kitchens.
