We are now accepting tender applications for our laboratory expansion Simulated Environment Testing Facility Job Ref: ESIM Value: £150,000 Planned Start Date: March 2021 Planned Finish Date: July 2021 Tenders invited until 8th Jan 2021 This project is to provide a 2 storey building extension to the existing premises at Cranage EMC Testing Ltd, Tern Valley Business Park, Market Drayton, Shropshire, TF9 3AG. Size Width of building -10m mono pitch Length of building - 20m, made up of 4 x bays at 5m Eaves height - 7m, falling to 6m (6 degree pitch) Complete with a single storey link attached building, with a mono pitch roof (6 degree), 2.5m (w) x 3m (l) x 2.4m (h) Construction CE compliant, galvanised steelwork, zinc phosphate primed, tubular bracings as required Cladding Wall cladding, sides and gables, to finished floor level: Kingspan KS1000MR 80mm Black composite Micro Rib panels 1m height Roof area: Kingspan KS1000RW 115mm composite panels to include triple skin GRP lights Black Plastisol coated steel flashings and guttering to match existing building Doorways 1 off electrical insulated sectional door, 3-phase, grey colour: 3.5m(W) x 4m(H) located gable end elevation 2 off personnel door, high standard, grey colour: 1m(W) x 2.1m(H) located link attached walkway (staff entrance/exit) and gable end (fire escape) Mezzanine Floor Approx. 175m2 area, with open access from ground floor level at sectional door end of the building (see drawing) – no allowance to be made for any balustrade. Cold rolled joists along with P6 chipboard to the whole mezzanine area. Staircase at each end to be supplied. Groundworks Site is level, and requires 450mm excavation to the footprint of the building including attached link building. Install concrete pad foundations Provide and lay 200mm consolidated sub-base Provide and lay RC35 concrete floor slab to depth of 200mm on 1200 gauge polythene, with 100mm Celotex insulation on a membrane complete with 1 layer A252 fabric reinforcement. Float finish concrete floor slab. No allowance to be made for site removal of excavated material. Tenders to be itemised with costs as follows:- Groundworks and Foundations Supply and Construction Tenders shall be evaluated subject to the following criteria:- Price: 60% Quality: 40% Public liability insurance, and adherence to health and safety at work on construction sites are mandatory requirements. Tenders will be rejected if suppliers do not meet the minimum requirements.
