What does this mean?
It means that by having your product tested at Cranage you will have all the technical data you need to sell your product in North America.
Regulatory compliance is key to penetrating the US market and products that are recognised as meeting the technical requirements for electromagnetic emissions and safety will enable you to seek export opportunities in the US.
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is an independent United States government agency, directly responsible to Congress. The FCC's jurisdiction covers the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. possessions. The FCC mark must be affixed to your product to be recognised as being technically compatible with other products already on the market.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration in the United States (OSHA) has authorized TUV Rheinland Inc. of North America to test and certify products according to US standards. The TUV Rheinland mark must be affixed to your product as a symbol that OSHA has recognised it to be fit for purpose and safe.
