Ingress Protection Testing

Ingress Protection testing, or IP as it is commonly referred to, forms part of the environmental testing at Cranage EMC and Safety. Testing is carried out in accordance with EN 60529, which Cranage is UKAS accredited for. Our UKAS accreditation serves as confirmation for manufacturers that we have been externally assessed as technically competent with accurate and reliable test methods and results. An IP rating typically consists of a two digit code, that are independent of each other. The first digit indicates the level of protection against foreign objects, as well as the protection of people against access to hazardous parts.
