Our long standing Director and Co-founder Neil Burns is retiring at the end of this month! Neil’s invaluable contributions and dedication to Croft Filters Ltd (formerly known as Croft Engineering Services) have been instrumental in shaping our company’s success.
We wish him every success in his retirement he will be greatly missed at Croft Filters.
Neil’s profound knowledge of wire mesh and his innovative thinking have paved the way for Croft’s achievements over the years. His pursuit of excellence has resulted in groundbreaking product innovations, advanced filtration processes, and pioneering methodologies. Through collaborative research projects with academia and industry partners, Neil has significantly contributed to global filtration knowledge.
Beyond these professional achievements, Neil’s impact extends to the people he has influenced. Over his remarkable 37-year tenure, Neil has not only provided employment opportunities to our dedicated staff but has also played a pivotal role in the growth and development of numerous students through projects and placements from secondary school and beyond. The company has welcomed and supported over 200 individuals who have gained invaluable experience and knowledge during their time with us.
Neil has also been responsible for introducing Additive Manufacturing (metal 3D printing) into the company. The technology has allowed Croft to develop new innovative filtration solutions that have found their way into many market sectors, including Formula 1, Oil and Gas, as well as energy suppliers.
As the Croft brand expanded its reach, Neil continued to showcase his expertise in the filtration and separation industry. His passion for sharing knowledge has taken him around the world, delivering technical seminars that highlight Croft’s groundbreaking innovations, particularly within the Additive Manufacture of filters.
While we bid farewell to Neil’s daily presence at Croft, his influence will continue. We extend our deepest gratitude for his unwavering commitment and wish him luck in his retirement.
