Change Gasket presented at The Heat Transfer Society Event

Flexitallic's Dene Halkyard, Application Engineering Manager, presented the Change Gasket at The Heat Transfer Society’s event in London last night. Shell-and-tube heat exchangers present a number of challenges when trying to create an effective seal on the main body joints. Issues include high (and low) gasket stresses, dimensional constraints, chemical resistance, thermal tolerance and seal tightness. Traditionally, exchangers have been specified with older, jacketed or clad gaskets, as well as kammprofile and spiral wound designs which all have inherent limitations. Dene explained the development, technology and benefits of the Change Gasket, his talk included case studies, technical information and sample gaskets.
