At Gibbons Engineering Group, we are committed to fostering a strong, well-informed, and safety-conscious workforce. January marked the first of four planned Company Days designed to bring together our staff and engineers for company updates, training, and knowledge-sharing. These sessions help ensure everyone is aligned with our goals, safety standards, and best practices.
The first Company Day included a general company update, a toolbox talk session, and essential fire training. We were pleased to welcome a representative from JR Consultants, who will be working with us as our Health & Safety adviser. These events serve as an opportunity for our team to discuss key company updates, and undergo relevant training to maintain the highest safety standards.
The morning session focused primarily on fire training, delivered through an insightful presentation by M&G Fire Protection, based in Witham, Essex. Following the presentation, the Gibbons team participated in hands-on training with fire extinguishers, allowing everyone to practice using different types in a controlled setting.
After a well-earned lunch break, the afternoon continued with an informative toolbox talk session for the engineers. Meanwhile, our volunteer fire marshals received further specialised training to ensure they are well-equipped to handle fire safety responsibilities within the company.
Gibbons Engineering Group remains dedicated to maintaining excellent working practices, prioritising health and safety, and ensuring all employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed for a safe work environment.
