GN Systems has further invested into new high-tech machinery

GN Systems has further strengthened its manufacturing capabilities with the addition of a NeoDen K1830 Pick and Place SMT placement machine and a Neoden IN12C Reflow Oven. This latest investment in precision automation will enhance the well-established production lines already in place, ensuring greater efficiency and accuracy.

Company Director Carl Griffiths commented, “After seeing steady growth in 2022, it was essential to continue investing in our production capabilities to meet the increasing demand from our customers in a highly competitive environment.”

To minimise disruption to production, the delivery, installation, and training were carefully coordinated in March. The team is already benefiting from the new efficiencies, enabling the accurate placement of an additional 16,000 components per hour.

Our New Capabilities

• Component camera to ensure precision component placement
• Fiducial correction for exact placement position on the PCB every time
• Electrical and pneumatic feeders for consistent component presentation to the nozzle
• 8-nozzle placement head, enabling placement rates of up to 16,000 components per hour
• Automated PCB handling via conveyor for streamlined inspection and processing
