CLIENT BRIEF PRODUCT – Dead Man's Fingers Rum bespoke shot paddle Great Central Plastics were tasked with creating a bespoke shot paddle for the bold and vibrant Cornish based spiced rum producers, Dead Man's Fingers. Having received their signature iconic Dead Man’s Fingers skull logo we were asked to create a functional shot paddle that could carry shot glasses for retail and tasting purposes in various venues such as clubs, bars and shops. CHALLENGES The size of the shot paddle required substantial contrast branding that would be too large to pad print alone. Another challenge we faced was ensuring the design still encompassed the DMF brand whilst also being functional. WHAT WE DID We designed the shot paddle to include relief moulded detail that could be foiled (around the eyes, nose and mouth) This then allowed us to print the DMF logo on our pad printers on the forehead of the product. Pad printing allows for multiple coloured logos to further enhance the overall finish of the product. We then designed the product in-house to ensure that both brand image and functionality criteria were met. OUTCOME We supplied two different branded versions of the skull paddle; 7,000 standard versions alongside 5,000 HEMP Rum, which were used as POS (point of sale) material across various venues throughout the UK.
