Helmsman are due to complete works as part of £350,100 refurbishment at Cally Pool Leisure Centre, London.
The design for Cally Pool’s refurbished changing rooms follows the highly successful ‘changing village’ format which is used in 100s of leisure centres and pool facilities across the UK.
23 Cubicles & 52 heavy duty lockers were installed throughout, meaning convenience and privacy were improved upon within the newly designed changing areas.
Orla Moore, General Manager at Cally Pool said “The main benefits of the changing village design is that it offers completely private, individual changing and shower cubicles, allows access to the pool for disabled users and direct access to the gym and sauna from the main changing rooms”.
Schools service providers gave specific feedback on the proposed new layout of the Cally Pool changing provisions to make sure that best practices of child protection were included in the new design.
Refurbishing Cally Pool’s changing rooms was an opportunity to design and build a changing facility that better met the needs of the majority of Cally Pool customers and enabled them to continue delivering programmes such as women only sessions.
Orla was happy with the work carried out and said “ We are delighted to welcome customers to Cally Pool’s new facilities. The refurbished changing rooms look fantastic and have been positively received by many user groups, particularly disabled customers, school groups and parents with children”.
