Helmsman have been involved with the installation and preparation of the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow, ready for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Helmsman manufactured, supplied and installed in excess of 600 lockers varying in different styles, configurations and heights in order to satisfy the requirements set out by the building contractor Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd.

The Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome forms part of the £113 million Commonwealth Arena and is one of the biggest indoor sports facilities of its type in Europe. The indoor arena has a total capacity of 5,000, and, during the Commonwealth Games it will host 12 badminton courts in three indoor sports halls. The arena also has a hydraulically lifted 200m indoor running track.
On completion of the project, Helmsman received a glowing report from Sir Robert McAlpines Regional Manager & Director, Boyd McFee. Boyd wrote, “Just a short note to say thank you very much for your efforts at Glasgow NISA & Velodrome recently, where you achieved excellent KPI scores ”.
