5 Generations of natural stone quarrying have led us here to this very day! We formed back in 1994 and have continued to rapidly grow and invest modern quarrying and processing machinery and now we boast over 25 staff and an annual turnover of around £1,500,000. We are extremely fortunate to have some of the most dedicated, passionate and skilled staff that are out there. We currently have over 25 loyal staff members within our fantastic team and every single one of them help to make Hutton Stone one of the finest stone suppliers within the country. As well as bringing in numerous other stones from further afield, Hutton Stone Co Ltd operate two local Sandstone Quarries in Hazeldean and Swinton. The Swinton Quarry; also historically known as Whitsome Newton, has been producing quality Buff/Green/Grey Sandstone since around the 1700's and as with so many other dimension stone Quarries. Hazeldean; also historically known as Crag Hill, has been re-opened by us this year. It is situated outside the village of South Charlton approximately 5 miles North of Alnwick.
