BRINGING SUSTAINABLE GREEN MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY TO MACH 2022

J&S Engineering UK Ltd will be exhibiting a range of green technology solutions for manufacturer’s looking to reduce their carbon footprint, improve their sustainability and save money at this year’s MACH 2022. UK manufacturers are more aware than ever before of the role they need to play in tackling climate change in this country. In line with some of this year’s key show themes of sustainability and innovation, J&S Engineering are bringing inspiring solutions to show MACH 2022 attendees what is possible in terms of investment in ‘green technology’ for their factory floor, to achieve both sustainability goals and save money. J&S Engineering work closely with high-end specialist suppliers across Europe to exclusively bring both standalone machines and customised systems to enable the recycling, reclamation and re-use of waste materials from all types of metal swarf to cutting oil and coolant. The variety of equipment enables customers to consider different options for managing their waste materials and with incentives such as achieving up to 99% reclamation of cutting oil, up to 70% reduction in swarf volume, as well as worthy increases in metal swarf recycling value, the benefits speak for themselves. Some examples of systems customers could implement that will be on the stand are a centralised swarf vacuum system and a fully automatic swarf centrifuge from Fama Srl. A small portable briquetting unit as well as a standard static briquetting machine from Hocker Polytechnik. Manual swarf centrifuges from Rimann AG, as well as swarf vacuums from Siebec / Sofraper. Alongside this, as a British company with over 35 years experience in the UK machine tool industry, J&S Engineering have developed, designed and manufactured an innovative range of both parts handler and bar chamfering machines These will also feature at MACH 2022, with exclusive launches of new models from both ranges. Oil / coolant reclamation is a key feature of the parts handlers, providing more incentives & opportunities to be ‘green’ when safely collecting finished components. These include a 4-hopper swarf processing system featuring crusher, conveyors and briquetting machine to process over 100 tons of cast iron swarf a week to be re-smelted on site at CNC Speedwell. A fully automated system at Smithstown in Ireland to reduce swarf volume and associated storage costs, increase recycled swarf value and reclaim cutting oil for reuse in the factory.
