Track Components invest in two disc parts handlers for Mazak machines

The Amersham based component manufacturer, recently took delivery of two J&S Engineering parts handlers – both disc models – to maximise the capacity and unmanned running of 2 of their Mazak fixed head lathes. The investment in these parts catchers, gives Track the peace of mind that every part is being safely collected with delicate surface finishes maintained as well as providing the storage required for unmanned jobs. The adaptability of our component collector range means customer requirements can be tailored to easily. In this instance one collector has been supplied with a chute to fit straight from the Mazak Multiplex W-200Y. Whereas the second is fitted with a standard conveyor from the lathe to the collector. They will both be permanently sited to the Mazak fixed head lathes but as the parts handlers are portable and adjustable, they can be easily moved for maintenance etc. The oil and coolant is collected into the built-in sump, then drained back directly to the machine, meaning the reclaimed fluids from the finished parts can be instantly re-used.
