Hours:
We have some flexibility in the hours for this role, but the successful candidate would need to be on site for part of each working day.
Our core hours are Mon – Thurs 7:30 – 16:30, Fri 7:30 – 13:30

Job Purpose:
Assists the Production Controller and Operations Manager in the administration of the production process to ensure that output is maintained to the required volumes, whilst quality and production deadlines are met. The role requires flexibility and a ‘can do’ attitude along with meticulous attention to detail.
Main Responsibilities: (Refer Appendix A for details)
- Supports with preparing contract review documentation, reviewing and analysing risks or concerns related to prices and delivery requirements.
- To review and enter weekly the customer schedules onto javelin and making sure that date changes are controlled and not detrimental to Newmont.
- Send schedule updates to customers.
- Act as support to all customers for Production Controller/Operations Manager.
- Review, advise and take action of any changes required using our MRP system.
- Co-ordinate with suppliers to ensure that best price/quality and timely delivery of products and maintain accuracy of supplier reports.
- To perform other tasks necessary to the efficient running of the office.
- Adheres to Company Health & Safety requirements and follows Company rules and acceptable codes of conduct.

Educational Requirements/Experience:
- Administration/Planning
- Procurement & negotiation
- Engineering Background or working in production environment – an advantage
- MS Office – intermediate level (especially Word, Excel & Outlook)
- Knowledge of MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) an advantage
- English Language – fluency in spoken and written English

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Core Activities
Procurement
- Obtains quotes from suppliers and sub-contractors and negotiates best prices/delivery times.
- Maintains approved suppliers register
- Raises sub con purchase orders
- Produces/updates shop documentation
Production Control
- Prepares weekly review of Customer Schedules as directed by the Production Controller/Operations Manager and co-ordinates with customers
- Organise and coordinate transport for customer & supplier deliveries.
- Ensure that invoicing is completed in a timely manner.
Purchasing
- Raises sub-con and consumable purchase orders
- Produces/updates shop documentation
