Cowslip Workshops
Cowslip Workshops, the beautiful location used for our SS22 photoshoot, was set up by Jo Colwill at her home on her farm in Cornwall. Over the last 25 years, Jo has turned her passion and hobby for textiles, traditional quilts and sewing into an exciting crafts and textiles experience. The environment at Cowslip is incredibly friendly, as they are always eager to please and welcome customers from all over the world. Whether coming for a coffee, class, workshop, wedding, family party or just a browse in their extensive shop – there is something for everyone.
Cowslip Shop
The Cowslip shop is a treasure trove of top quality fabrics including Moda, Rowan/Kaffe Fasset, Fossil Fern and Bali Batiks, flannel, plaids and checks and even boiled wool, plus an ever increasing range of linens from 80/20% to lovely Irish Dublin Linen or Shabby Chic. The shop features a good selection of tutorial books, patchwork magazines and greetings cards, with many of the cards handmade by local artists. They also stock pottery by Nicholas Mosse, Stephen & Jane Baughan and Brixton Pottery and have a small selection of quilts and handmade cushions on display.
Workshops
Cowslip run a range of different workshops throughout the year, including dressmaking, quilting, painting, patchwork, journalling and many more! They have a range of different tutors, each with distinct skills in one or a number of crafts and textiles. The workshops are a great way to get your creative juices flowing and to help teach you some important craft skills that you can take away with you into everyday life.
Cafe
The Cafe serves light lunches, cream teas, coffee and delicious cakes. Special parties are catered for including unique country weddings and celebrations. They also hold special supper evenings, which take place throughout the year. All the food prepared is as local and Organic as possible and they try their best to cater for those with special dietary requirements. The cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating, which overlooks the beautiful view of Launceston. You may also meet some of the friendly horses, like the one who made a guest appearance in our photshoot.
