We're all about the print Discover the inspiration behind our latest print designs. It’s no secret that we love print here at Nomads – and our latest collection once again features a range of wonderful print designs, all exclusive to us. This season our talented in house designer Kate was greatly influenced by Japanese art and design. Kate began her design journey with a visit to the Katsushika Hokusai exhibition at the British museum. Hokusai is widely regarded as one of Japan’s most famous and influential artists, and his intricate, detailed drawing and print work is mesmerising. Kate also visited the Leach pottery museum in St Ives. Considered by many to be the birthplace of British pottery, yet born from Japanese processes and techniques, this was a hugely inspiring trip. selection of leach pottery made in cornwall with blue glaze Leach’s reputation precedes it as one of the finest pottery makers in the country. It was founded in 1920 by Bernard Leach – widely respected as one of the most important and influential artist-potters of the 20th century, together with his friend Shoji Hamada, in St Ives, Cornwall. Hana Print A riot of vibrant colour, our Hana print was inspired by bold kimono designs. This is the print of choice if you want to make a statement this season. organic cotton green jumper white vest and navy trousers If you're not feeling brave enough for an all-out-print outfit, then you can complete the look by teaming your favourite print with our great range of plains, from organic jersey vests to textured cotton narrow leg trousers, the possibilities are endless.
