OKW’s MINI-DATA-BOX sensor enclosures are now available in 40 standard configurations, significantly reducing the need for customisation.
These quick-fit, versatile enclosures are perfect for IoT and IIoT devices, smart logistics, peripherals, interfaces, automation, environmental monitoring, measurement and control systems, security applications, and ICT. Their compact size and ergonomic design also make them ideal for wearable electronics.
MINI-DATA-BOX comes in two shapes: S (square) and E (rectangular or ‘edge’). Both designs can be specified with or without flanges, allowing for fast and simple mounting on walls, ceilings, rails, or poles using screws or cable ties. The enclosures feature curved corners and a distinctive ‘diamond cut’ bevelled lid, enhancing their appearance, while flat surfaces provide space for interfaces.
Built for durability, MINI-DATA-BOX features an all-round tongue and groove seal, with optional IP 65 gaskets available for added protection. This makes the enclosures suitable for demanding outdoor and industrial environments. They are moulded from robust ASA+PC (UL 94 V-0) for extra strength and UV resistance. Assembly uses stainless steel Torx screws, helping to prevent tampering. Inside, there are mounting points for PCBs and components in both the top and base, and there is also the option to encapsulate electronic assemblies if required.
The range offers four footprint sizes from 40 x 40 mm to 70 x 50 mm, with two height options: 15 mm and 20 mm. Standard colours include traffic white (RAL 9016) and anthracite grey (RAL 7016). For the flanged versions, customers can also choose a combination with a traffic white (RAL 9016) top and a traffic grey A (RAL 7042) base.
OKW also offers a full customisation service for the MINI-DATA-BOX. This includes CNC machining, lacquering, printing, laser marking, EMC shielding and the assembly of accessories, ensuring each enclosure is tailored to meet individual project requirements.
