February proved to be another busy month for our production department, building water quality analysers and bespoke monitoring systems. Five turbidity measurement kiosks which have been completed, for municipal final effluent water quality monitoring in the NE of England which were then configured, wet tested and third party electrically certificated. Three Proam analysers for Severn Trent Water and a further eight Proam analysers, destined for our Chinese agent, were wet tested to meet our stringent quality assurance standards. Whilst the Proam instrumentation is typically installed for compliance measurement in the UK, the Chinese use the analyser to measure within the nitrification process to control the aeration basin, based on ammoniacal-nitrogen loading and thus reduce the associated treatment (energy) costs. Additional purchase orders were received from Wessex Water for replacement dissolved oxygen sensing technology and for a bespoke instrument enclosure, to provide weather protection for a new water quality monitoring installation. We also received further business from a paper mill, needing turbidity instrumentation for final effluent compliance measurement.
