Did you know that Elephants hear with their Feet?

Yes, its true, despite having huge ears, scientists now believe that Elephants ‘hear’ with their feet? Strange you may think, until that is you know what they are listening to, and that is tremors in the ground caused by potential threats. To a degree this sounds plausible, but then again I did not think that their predators had such heavy footfalls? Although perhaps the sounds that mankind makes with its heavy machinery etc is something that they may well (for good reason) be afraid of? More likely still is that Elephants hear the deep ultrasounds that they use to communicate with each other. Whatever, it seems likely that Elephants do hear with their feet, something that may sound (excuse the pun) strange to some. But what about Google, what does and how does that big beast hear? Well as to what, I reckon that they ‘hear and see’ a lot, even though they say that they don’t look at things like your analytics. I am not saying that they do look, but …. This of course means that you should be careful of what you post and what you include on your website, always bearing in mind what Google wants to see of course. So what does Google want (regardless of how it hears or sees it). Well basically it wants to see great relevant, useful and interesting content (or to be entertained in some way) and that includes videos and images. You have to ‘Spoon Feed’ Google with SIGNPOSTS But that won’t be enough as you need to ‘spoon feed’ Google by signposting the content in the Titles and Headers, as well as in the internal links (these can make a BIG difference). But what does properly mean and what is Google looking for? They are both the same thing really, and basically put you need to write some text on page A and link that to Page B using some informative statement about what the other page is about as the text some of the time and simple one to tree words in other cases. The secret is in the variation and having enough of them. You also need to make Google ‘hear’ about all the people (well other sites) that appear to trust your site by linking to it. And, you also have to have a site that lets Google ‘hear’ about what it is all about in a speedy fashion; that is you need to have a fast loading site; and also that the users of the site can find things easily; that is you need to have a site that is easy to navigate and where the content is laid out in a way that makes it easy to assimilate.
