In addition, we can reuse XPS cutting waste to make new XPS boards. Thanks to our zero-waste production process and the recyclability of SOPRA XPS, this type of insulation material is a sustainable choice and a perfect match for any circular construction project. Yet, depending on the product that we produce, it also means that our ingredients may be in short supply: recycled EPS can be hard to come by. The more virgin raw materials we have to use, the more expensive the resulting XPS boards will be. Moreover, while smaller XPS orders require frequent readjustments of the machines (and new product evaluations for every batch), it is less time-consuming to produce large quantities of XPS boards of the same thickness. Therefore Soprema is a commercially viable partner. Finally, we always make sure to optimise transport, for instance offering direct site delivery from the manufacturing plant. CHANGES IN THE XPS INSULATION PRICE Soprema monitors XPS cost prices on a monthly basis. Recycling waste EPS, we can keep our cost base as low as it possibly can be for the end user. Our sales prices are updated for insulation products monthly, again ensuring that our product is priced competitively. SOPRA XPS can be utilised in an inverted roof system with DUOFLEX or SOPRALENE bitumen systems. In this type of application, where the waterproofing and insulation is supplied from a single source under a single-point warranty, the system has a cost-competitive advantage as well.
