Our Biomedical Range has a Precision Respirometry System for mitochondria and isolated cell reseach providing automatic recording, anaylsis and reporting for State 3 and State 4 respiration rates, ADP/O ratios and RCR automatically, or with manual selection.
Our ASP-Con instrument now provides 20 parameters on one instrument, that has proven self-cleaning and self-calibrating technology that reduces maintenance requirements substantially. This instrument can be used prior to the screens on a WWTP as it has superior no-ragging design.
The ASP-Con allows Real Time measuring of load coming into a plant and can provide Real Time Control allowing aeration reduction energy to reduce from 18% to 50%, whilst improving compliance, treatment and capacity. Our casestudy on Northern Ireland Water's Cookstown site resulted in 50% total site energy reduction, £110,408 savings to continue year on year, 1.004 GWhr equating to 502 tes Carbon per annum.
Our AS-Bioscope uses precision respirometry in Wastewater operations, providing a compact single unit field based respirometer giving rapid analysis of the activity of activated sludge as it is captured in real-time in the aeration basin. Combined with the Strathtox lab-based respirometer this provides a complete analysis of the activated sludge characteristics of a WWTP.
