Design Engineer

Due to continuing expansion, this small, dynamic and growing business, seeks a Design Engineer to join our CAD based design team working on turnkey projects within the steel buildings sector. The suitable individual will have demonstrable relevant experience from within an Architectural or Construction based environment, ideally the steel building sector using CAD (ideally AutoCAD). In addition the key criteria we are looking for include:- Qualified to a minimum of HNC level in a relevant Engineering, Construction or Architectural subject Experience in a design office environment Knowledge of steel structures, ideally cold-rolled Good attention to design detail Good communication skills and an ability to advise on site if necessary Knowledge of working within a quality assured environment (ideally ISO 9001) A strong work ethic High levels of initiative and common sense Good levels of numeracy and written skills Good knowledge of IT systems such as Word, Excel and Outlook Total commitment to outstanding customer service Full car driving license since travel to sites will be required Willingness to learn, develop and contribute to a close team environment This is a permanent position and opportunities and rewards are good for individuals who are willing to work hard and assist in taking the business forward. Highly competitive salary dependent upon experience from £27.5k to £38k dependent upon experience. Potential for profit related bonus. Basic hours are 8.30am until 5pm, Mon to Fri with 1 hour for lunch. 25 days holiday per annum plus statutory bank holidays.
