Employee runs the Liverpool half marathon

Weir & Carmichael would like to say congratulations to one of our employees Cassandra O’Prey for completing the Liverpool half marathon on Sunday 23rd March. Cassandra ran the marathon in 2 hours, 29 minutes and 29 seconds! The chosen charity was Epilepsy Action ‘the reason I picked this charity is because it is an illness that affects those close to me. Epilepsy action is a small charity and has been running for the last 64 years but it has only been within the last 10 years that more knowledge and understanding on the illness came to light. It’s a great cause and I hope by running the Marathon I can bring more awareness and much needed funds to the charity.’ Sponsored by Weir & Carmichael, Cassie raised a huge £600 for the charity. "Weir & Carmichael in the Community" is an initiative set up so that we can give back to the communities through charity work and sponsorship.
