Established in 1955, Weir & Carmichael began by selling hessian sacks to local businesses in Liverpool. Since then, the company has rapidly expanded to include a wide range of packaging sacks and bags for various manufacturing sectors across the UK.
In recent years, Weir & Carmichael has also ventured into the recycling sector, leveraging over 10 years of experience to supply local authorities and the privatized waste sector with a comprehensive range of recycling containers and bags.
Currently, Weir & Carmichael operates nationwide, serving a customer base of over 1,000, including numerous local authorities. The company has built a long-standing reputation for quality and customer care. In 2010, Weir & Carmichael moved to larger premises, now boasting over 40,000 square feet of storage space at their head office in Bootle.
