As another year draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on what has been an extraordinary 2024 for Weiss Technik UK. This year has been filled with significant milestones, not only for our company but also for the industries we proudly serve.
It has been a year of growth, innovation, and collaboration. From attending key industry events and partnering with inspiring charities to rolling out exciting new services, we have remained dedicated to delivering the high standards of excellence that Weiss Technik is known for. I couldn’t be prouder of what our team has achieved this year.
As we look ahead to 2025, I am filled with anticipation for the opportunities and challenges the New Year will bring. But before we turn the page, let’s reflect on some of the highlights of 2024.
Celebrating 25 Years of Excellence
This year marked a major milestone for Weiss Technik UK: 25 years since our incorporation. This achievement is a testament to the dedication, innovation, and hard work that have driven our success. We are incredibly proud of our history and excited for the future as we continue to grow and evolve in the environmental simulation, clean air, and life sciences sectors.
New Office, New Beginnings
In early 2024, thanks to continued growth, we moved into our new premises at the Loughborough Technology Centre. This move was a significant milestone in our 25th year, providing us with expanded space and a collaborative environment that fosters innovation and creativity.
To celebrate, we hosted an inaugural event in the summer, attended by Dr Petra Schmidt, COO of our parent company Schunk Group, and Peter Kuisle, Managing Director of Weiss Technik. During the event, we were honoured to receive a bronze bust of our founder, Ludwig Schunk. His words, “Cultivating the future and the upward development of the company are the best ways to serve our employees,” continue to inspire us as we move forward.
Our Charity Partner
Giving back is a core part of our ethos, and this year we continued our charity partnership initiative. Following our support of Falcon Support Services in 2023, this year we partnered with Forget-me-not Chorus, a charity that brings joy and connection to people living with dementia through the power of music. The chorus provides a welcoming space for individuals, their families, and carers to come together and sing, helping to reduce loneliness and provide emotional support.
In addition, we supported The Toy Appeal this Christmas, raising £1,000 to bring joy to children in need. We selected a wide range of toys, beauty products, books, and crafts for children aged 2-16. This initiative is close to our hearts, and we are deeply grateful to our team for their generosity in making a difference this holiday season.
We’re also in the process of selecting our 2025 charity partner, which we’ll announce early in the New Year—stay tuned!
Enhancing Workplace Safety with a New Defibrillator
The safety and well-being of our team is a top priority. This year, we installed an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) at our Loughborough office to ensure rapid response in the event of a cardiac emergency. Staff also participated in a comprehensive training session to ensure they are equipped to use the AED effectively. This initiative provides peace of mind and reinforces our commitment to workplace safety.
Flexible Leasing Options with Lease UK
In 2024, we launched a new partnership with Lease UK, offering businesses a flexible leasing option for accessing high-quality environmental test chambers. This cost-effective solution allows companies in production, manufacturing, quality assurance, and R&D to meet their testing needs without significant capital investment.
