Moulding a filter is a similar process to traditional injection moulding but with a few key differences. A filter moulding begins with a mould tool design. This tool design takes account of both the mesh section of the filter, and the plastic that holds the mesh in place, encapsulating it. Once the mould tool is designed and cut from a block of steel, moulding of the filter can begin.
