OKW’s COMTEC sloping-front plastic enclosures are increasingly popular for electronic devices featuring touch screens or displays.
The versatile COMTEC range is well-suited for a variety of applications, such as data collection terminals, communications devices, access control and security, medical and wellness equipment, laboratory instruments, point-of-sale systems, measurement devices, and industrial control systems.
These modern desktop and wall-mount enclosures feature smooth contours and a recessed top angled at 10° to provide comfortable viewing and easy operation. They offer ample space for mounting connectors and interfaces, while the flat or raised base sections can house larger components.
COMTEC enclosures come with or without a lid for a battery compartment, with screw-in battery cradles (available as accessories) designed to hold 4 x AA, 1 x 9V, or 2 x 9V cells. Inside, fastening pillars are provided for secure PCB and component mounting, and self-adhesive feet ensure stable desktop positioning.
Made from ABS (UL 94 HB), these enclosures come in seven sizes, ranging from 120 x 150 x 42.8 mm to 290 x 200 x 75.5 mm. Standard colours include off-white (RAL 9002) and black (RAL 9005), with custom colour options available.
Additional accessories include wall-mounting elements, battery cradles and clips, a 9V plug-in contact, and self-tapping screws for PCBs.
