CUSTOM DISPLAY FOR CAR LIFT
This is an example of a custom display and control solution for a luxury car lift system for high-value sports cars. Designed as the front-end control system for a hydraulic jack and security system.
Design Goals
The customer has a hydraulic lift system for sports cars designed to be installed at home for storage and maintenance. They had a current design using mechanical switches to control the hydraulic jack platform. Still, they wanted a much more high-tech solution that looked beautiful and could take over the security and control of the hydraulic jack.
RDS has access to a wide variety of displays, embedded technology solutions, and control and communication systems. RDS selected a dead front effect front panel with capacitive switches to provide a clean high-tech interface. We added a Camera system into the unit for security and monitoring solutions.
After several prototypes including the software solution, RDS provided the embedded computer system, running Windows, custom power control electronics with a multi I/O channel controlled via USB, metalwork, touch solutions and of course the display. The system was designed to be mounted in a variety of ways including on pedestals or wall mounts. The customer has placed orders and systems are installed worldwide.
