Ajax Machine Tools International is now building a high specification CNC vertical machining centre with Heidenhain control and drives package at its headquarters in Lymington, Hampshire. The Ajax AJV 700VMC machine has a capacity of 700 mm x 400 mm x 550 mm/650 mm in Z as an option. The Ajax machine portfolio has been built up over a number of years to incorporate a wide range of machine tools suitable for production, toolrooms, workshops and educational establishments where complete turn-key packages of equipment can be installed with full training and back up services. Central to the product line up are high specification CNC machine tools covering lathes and turning centres and electronic lathes covering high productivity chucking and bar machine types, heavy duty lathes, and vertical turning machines. Its range of CNC machining centres are also high productivity orientated and often feature DROs from low cost turret mills through CNC bed mills, high speed and heavy duty machining centres to a range of horizontal spindle machines with pallet shuttle. Representing the manual equipment that Ajax is able to provide these include horizontal, universal and vertical milling machines with or without DRO, pedestal and bench drills, radial drilling machines plus a complete range of centre lathes including those with a large capacity. There is also a comprehensive range of surface grinding, vertical and horizontal bandsaws, workholding (MK chucks) and an extensive range of Ajax Arboga pipe and belt grinders, centreless grinding, polishing machines, pipe notching equipment, drill sharpeners and deburring equipment.
